2026 was going to be the year I got back into creative writing. I’ve been so busy helping market and promote other writers that I forget I am a writer myself. Not just a freelance writer, but a creative writer as well. I was kind of like, naw, but then my good friend George Raymond at Trefology mentioned he’d like to see more of my own work on my site. My poetry background has been coming to the forefront lately, so here I share my latest piece. I am nervous. It’s been so long. Our family had lost a loved one recently. It’s dark. Truthful, and I kind of like it.
