In 2425, New Geneva dominates the skyline while the Dredges endure beneath it. After losing her parents in a Dominion explosion, sixteen-year-old Elara stows away on the starship Aurora seeking distance from grief. Instead, she enters a contained society shaped by rigid structure and underlying tension. Captain Mira commands with discipline, though deeper histories influence her decisions. As Elara’s engineering abilities earn her responsibility aboard the vessel, she struggles to reconcile her prejudice toward the Imperial Dominion with the realities she encounters. Pulse, an AI carrying her father’s neural imprint, complicates her sense of memory and identity.

When sabotage disrupts the ship’s core systems, suspicion fractures trust among the crew. With danger escalating and alliances uncertain, Elara must decide whether she will allow anger to guide her—or accept the weight of protecting others.
